AldiCase Study

The revised f-gas regulations came in to force from 1st January 2015.

Part of the new initiative is to ban the use of virgin HFCs with a GWP of 2500 and above in refrigeration equipment with a charge size of greater than 40 tonnes CO2 equivalent, from 2020. Project managers from TJ were tasked with removing 12 tonnes of R404a and replacing it with the more efficient AND Lower GWP R407F to comply with the new F-Gas Regulation across the ALDI estate

Nationwide installation of heat recovery refrigeration packs across Aldi sites using waste heat TJ Refrigeration was able to channel this to re heat the store.

Due the energy saving capabilities TJ Refrigeration have been appointed as approved installer of this technology.
